Your questions answered
How are sites ranked in the comparison?
Each website gets a score from 0 to 100: the share of real user measurements rated good against Google’s thresholds. It averages four metrics, the three Core Web Vitals (Largest Contentful Paint, Cumulative Layout Shift and Interaction to Next Paint) plus Time to First Byte. A metric with no data is left out of the average rather than counted against the site. This is the same UX Rating used throughout Calibre.
Where does the data come from, and how often is it updated?
Data comes from Google’s Chrome User Experience Report (CrUX), a public dataset of real user experiences from opted-in Chrome users. Aggregate scores refresh daily. The history chart plots weekly collection periods, each covering a rolling 28 days.
Why is this score different from PageSpeed Insights or Lighthouse?
This score reflects thousands of real Chrome users over the last 28 days (CrUX field data). PageSpeed Insights and Lighthouse provide data from a single test run from a controlled environment.
How do Core Web Vitals impact SEO?
Core Web Vitals are one of Google’s ranking signals, measured with the same field data shown here. They count for less than relevance and content quality, so passing will not lift a weak page above a strong one, but between similar pages the faster one has the advantage.
Why is there no data for a website?
A site needs enough Chrome traffic to appear in the CrUX dataset. If a site shows no data, it may be too new, too small, or behind authentication.
