What is CrUX (Chrome User Experience Report)?

CrUX is Google’s public dataset of real user experience data from Chrome users who have opted in. It covers Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP) and other metrics from millions of real page visits.

Why should I monitor CrUX data?

CrUX is the data behind Google’s page experience signal in Search. Unlike synthetic testing, it reflects how real users experience your site.

Do I need to install anything to use CrUX monitoring?

No. Unlike Real User Monitoring, CrUX needs no code on your site. Add your site to Calibre and data appears straight away, as long as it has enough Chrome traffic to be in CrUX.

How often is CrUX data updated?

Calibre charts CrUX data week by week. Each value covers the previous 28 days of real Chrome visits.

Can I monitor sites I don’t own with CrUX?

Yes. CrUX works for any public website with sufficient traffic. You can monitor competitors, benchmark against industry peers, and track sites you don’t own.

How does Calibre find my pages?

Calibre crawls your site, following your navigation and internal links, and tracks every page that has CrUX data. There are no URL lists to maintain.

Is CrUX data privacy-preserving?

Yes. All CrUX data is aggregated and anonymised by Google. No personally identifiable information is included in the dataset.
