Questions about switching from RUMvision

Is Calibre a good RUMvision alternative?

Yes, if you want Lighthouse tests and pull request reviews alongside Real User Monitoring. Calibre includes RUM, CrUX data and scheduled Lighthouse tests on every plan, for unlimited Sites and URLs.

Why run Lighthouse tests alongside Real User Monitoring?

A Lighthouse test runs the same page in the same conditions every time, so changes stand out. Real User Monitoring shows how visitors experience your pages. Lighthouse shows which scripts and requests changed, and pull request reviews catch a regression before it ships.

Does Calibre RUM use cookies?

No. Calibre RUM uses no cookies or localStorage and stores no personal data. A random session ID lives in sessionStorage and is removed when the tab closes. You can also leave out visitors from the EU and EEA with one setting.

How does Calibre’s pricing compare with RUMvision’s?

Calibre starts at €65 a month with Real User Monitoring, CrUX data and Lighthouse tests included, for unlimited Sites. RUMvision starts at €150 a month for 2 domains. Calibre counts Real User Monitoring by sessions, not page views, so a visitor who browses ten pages in one tab counts once.

Can I automate Calibre?

Yes. Every plan includes the CLI, the Node.js API and the GraphQL API, so you can run tests from CI, manage Sites and pull data into your own reports. The Calibre MCP server lets Claude Code, Cursor and other coding agents read your monitoring data.

How do I switch from RUMvision to Calibre?

Add your Sites to Calibre. It finds your key pages, pulls their CrUX data and starts Lighthouse tests straight away. Then add Calibre’s RUM snippet in place of RUMvision’s, and connect Slack for alerts. Or book a setup call and we’ll do it with you.

Can I try Calibre before switching?

Yes. Start a free 15-day trial, no credit card required, and run Calibre alongside RUMvision while you decide. Synthetic results will differ a little, since each tool tests from its own locations and devices.
